Emily Staley Today at 3:00pm. Challenge to the followers of this Boycott Facebook page: END the boycott of Whitehall Plumbs and support Fred in ways that do not hurt this community business. Constructive, positive ways to support Fred include donating to his Youcaring fundraising page or writing him a card. The boycott does not support Fred. It has a negative effect on Whitehall Plumbs employees (people who live and raise their families in this community - some of them your neighbors and friends) and this local business that has supported the people in the Whitehall/Montague community with quality, service and convenience for generations. End the Boycott - Do something positive today! BWPFF says, We believe there were plenty of other ways Plumbs could have handled this situation with Fred and they chose not to. They allowed his ((HUGS)) to continue for almost 40 years. They allowed him to show compassion and caring for his friends, neighbors and other shoppers as long as it was good for their image. Then along comes the politically correct world and its no longer OK for Fred to care and brighten someones day. Fred has come a long way from being BULLIED when he was younger to the loving person he is today ! Fred didnt assault anyone! Fred didnt batter anyone! You go walk a mile in his shoes then come back here and tell us how wrong we are. YOU put 40 years of YOUR life into the same job with the same employer where so many people have come to accept you because maybe youre a little different and then have your employer kick you to the curb. No, we think there were other options, but Plumbs to this point has chosen to ruin a mans life. Yes, its a shame others have to deal with this (Fred would never want them hurt because he cares) even the ones who have said negative things about him. But then WE didnt ask Fred if it was OK to stand up for him as an individual or a community WHAT HAPPENED TO INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY ? Hugs to you Emily
