Emma Robinson Hi! Thanks for taking the time out to read this! We have decided to take part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning on the 27th September. Did you know that there are currently around 2 million people living in the UK that have some type of cancer? Did you know that around 310,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer every year?! Most of us know someone diagnosed, past or present, with some form of cancer. Some of you may have listened to the diagnosis being told to you. Some of us have watched someone we love bravely fight and lose. Some of us have watched someone we love bravely fight and win. Well, in honour of these brave fighters we have decided to take part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning. Why? Well to raise some money – obviously for such a brilliant service – and to have a laugh, a giggle, scoff some cakes... We are asking for a couple of hours out of your day to join us and have a brew, eat a cake, have a raffle ticket, eat another cake, have another brew, have a laugh, have a cry(?), reminisce, have a laugh, win a prize!! And help us to raise cancer awareness, Macmillan support and just to have a bloody good morning. We are thinking that the cost of your entry will be £2.00 per person – this will include a drink of your choice... (and FYI: there could be some wine...), a big yummy cupcake and a raffle ticket! During your stay you will have the opportunity to purchase more raffle tickets to win some great prizes but most importantly all of the money will be donated to Macmillan. There is only one catch – the morning has a dress code! You must wear something PINK, or wear a headscarf!
