Emmanuel = God With Us. we say this, mainly at Christmas, with little consideration. However, its incredibly powerful. All other religions are mans story of trying to get to God; Christianity is Gods story of reaching out to men. Jesus stepped out of heaven (imagine the sadness when He left to come to Earth!) to be with us in person for 33 years ... but remember ... its God with us. not God WAS with us. Jesus promised He would never leave us, nor forsake us. He also said where 2 or more are gathered, Im there in the midst of you. Therefore, God is WITH us! He was born in a manger, Hes with us now in the person of the Holy Spirit, Hes in heaven at the Right hand of the Father, Hes coming again to reign for 1000 years and forever. Jesus is Emmanuel.
