Emory is a deep thinker and often throws questions out that are politically based in my opinion and hard for me to answer but most of the time I just lay it on out for her!!!! Last night riding in the car she randomly said that her teacher always says Christmas is about loving people and that she had spoken up during class and said.....AND Jesuss Birthday......she said her teacher just kept talking through her jesus comment. Knowing her teacher is a great lady/teacher I tried to explain the politically correct way at first!! I told Em that her teacher was just trying not to offend anyone by not talking about God in class because some of society doesnt like it.....they may not believe like we do and that loving people is part of Christmas because that comes from Jesus!! Emory got really quiet and I knew something was about to be said!!! She said.....well, thats just silly because we have freedom mama because those people that died for us....(she was meaning soldiers)....that means we can talk and IT IS Jesuss Birthday-so whats the problem!? HA....she was spot on and I finally said.....you are 100% correct and Im proud of you smart girl!!! :)
