Emotional again this morning seeing all these pics on here and t.v. and getting calls from my step bro and step mother in California and cousin to see if we are ok. We are, but many arent.....and my heart is heavy for this....it could so easily have been my neighborhood.....we were ahead of it going to church in Pekin by what sounds to be only about 20 mins. going out Springfield Rd. where there was damage also.....got re-routed coming home to Pinecrest Dr. where we first saw any devistation.....then later delivered a generator to friends in Washington, who were ok, but without power and on Rt. 24, got the real feel for what had happened....just sickening....what was even worse, were the dozens of cars, whom, I am sure as the news indicated gawkers just trying to get a peek of the damage.....and then to find out people going in and starting to go thru peoples things looting!!! Are you kidding me! I personally know people who lost homes, and I am sure as time goes by, I will learn I know more.......so, now kids and I are heading to basement where we have had piles of clothes to give away.......I have my home, family and my belongings today and feeling blessed. If anyone needs ANYTHING....we have extra basement bedroom w/own bath if you need a place to stay.....love to help in anyway possible.
