Employment Current 2014-2015 School Year Administrative Positions (Send resumes to Dr. Edward Bunn at ebunn@fcspatriots) Guidance Counselor The Guidance Counselor must be involved in a local church, hold a related degree, and bring a wealth of school guidance experience to the position. He/She will be responsible for assisting high school students through the college admission process, including course selection, standardized testing, essays, recommendations, scholarships, and financial aid. The counselor will meet regularly with students, keeping detailed notes and records, and with college admission representatives on campus and at local events. Candidates should have experience in college admissions or college counseling, preferably in both. They must be excellent communicators who can advocate for students enthusiastically, have a firm grasp of current trends in education and college admissions, and a sincere desire to support the mission of FCS. Director of Development The Director of Development must be involved in a local church and have a gifting and quality results in soliciting financial support. On behalf of FCS, the Director will identify and cultivate relationships with prospective donors, managing special projects, and carrying out the school’s fundraising priorities. The Director ensures donor acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship; helps develop campaign materials, case statements, and brochures; collaborates in preparing reports and prospect research materials; and builds strong relationships with supporters to nurture a culture of philanthropy. Candidates should have at least three to five years of fundraising/sales experience and a full knowledge of solicitation practices and techniques. Past experience should include proven results in raising significant amounts of money to enhance organizational growth. He/She must be skilled in verbal and written communication, marketing and presentation, and project management. The Director of Development must be confident and adaptable; adept at interacting with diverse, influential people with diplomacy and tact; and reliable in maintaining confidentiality. From those resumes, we will select the most qualified candidates for the open position to interview for a possible hire. If we cannot fill it at that point, then we will advertise to the public for the position.
