Encouraging event for Xmas Buying a book on early 20thC avant-garde art in a Bloomsbury book shop. I asked if he still had copies of Sandels What money cant buy. Yes, It is in the business section downstairs, he said. Business? Its a philosophy book, ethics, I replied. Debate followed and agreement to differ. But we still have book shops where they know the books, care about them and take a hard line view on philosophy (the book is kind of popular applied ethics). Good news!
