End of Hs swim meet in Camden, hes looking forward a cupcake he had spied at the concession stand that morning, but its late in the event and all thats left is some burny popcorn and dry looking little corn muffins. He turns on his toes with a grim face and heads for the door. Knowing how cheated he feels, I offer that we stop at French and Brawn and describe what a great treat it was when I was was a kid to drive to town to go to F&B, probably the swankest, the ONLY swank place between Bath and Belfast in the 70s. His mood improves talking about other things on the drive over there and when we walk into the back door, straight into the bakery, he puffs his chest out and in his biggest voice he bellows (happily), Well, my mom says you guys can fix the Great Cupcake Debacle were in, so whaddya got?! All the yuppies turn to stare...
