End of Watch Alert....third of the day and 113th of 2014. We mourn the loss of Officer Charles Kondek of the Tarpon Springs (Florida) Police Department. Residents of an apartment complex called police because a man was knocking on apartment doors at approximately 2:00 am. Officer Kondek arrived at the scene and he was shot by the subject. The man was apprehended. Officer Kondek had served with the Tarpon Springs Police Department for 17 years. He is survived by his wife and five children. Our thoughts and prayers are with this family, fellow officers and friends. We have the watch from here, brother. Rest in Peace....Chief Oliver and Staff.
