End of year and Thank You 1st Facebook friends We used to be a small Troop in a small District getting on with Scouting in our own fashion. Thanks to this site weve learnt a lot of cool stuff. We now do stuff like axe throwing, thanks to the legend that is Terry Longhurst and have met others through this site that I would never have otherwise met. People like Alan Gordon and Kelly from Ash Green, shared stories over a cuppa at their camps. Through Herman Vree my Scouts brought back bob-a-job and raised money for his Troop in Malawi so they now have uniforms (not all from us) and weve seen our mad-cap Scout meeting activities shared and liked in over 40 countries. From a small Troop to part of a global Group in a couple of years. On Thursday I had the pleasure of finally meeting Andy Sissons when a meerkat appeared at our Pirates event and Andy will be bringing his troop up to play later this year- that makes you feel good, being able to share these amazing activities with others. So thanks one and all for your likes, shares and ideas. Have a great Christmas and make it your challenge to meet up with another Group on here that you would otherwise not have met- trust me most are just like you- if not slightly crazier. Expand your horizons. January is my 40th year with my Group and I feel as fresh and inspired as ever.
