I promised a review of his film, so here’s a short one: it’s a delightful nostalgia trip for those who remember those days — and, for those who don’t, a cheerful reminder of how carefree we were. As Bert Newton points out in his narration: Most of us happily smoked, pubs closed at 6pm, everyone was in bed by 11, few of us had cars or phones, most of us had good manners and there was no need for Neighbourhood Watch.
