Ending the Blame Game Today I stop placing blame. It is not the husband, wife, kids, employer, other employees, the mother in law or those in traffic with me, today it is I, who take personal responsibility for all the thoughts, words, actions, and reactions that come from me. All these people have been gifted to me in order to see an external reflection of my inward condition. If I, above all else choose peace, they will be but a refection of my peace of mind. If I, above all else choose war, they will be a reflection of my internal struggle and turmoil. Today it is not the weather, my financial situation, the financial situation of the country, the Washington political gridlock, the news reports, or my job that will affect and are the drivers of my attitude, today I finally take personal responsibility for the perception I hold of them, and my relationship to them. Today I will hold no petty illusion of how things ought to be, I choose instead to let go of all my tension, trust in God/Source’s plan, and just breathe. I will breathe in trust, and I will breathe out gratitude, I breathe in trust, and I breathe out gratitude.
