My heart breaks for those affected by the 2014 Ebola Outbreak happening in West Africa in the countries of Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria. There has been a breakdown in the healthcare system and resources are scarce. Healthcare providers, family, and friends are AT MOST RISK for they can come in contact with sick patients blood and bodily fluids. Ebola, or Ebola virus disease is a rare and deadly disease caused by infection with one of the Ebola virus strains. Presenting symptoms are fever, unexplained bleeding, bruising, muscle and stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. Do pray for those affected and specifically for strength and courage to those healthcare providers fighting this outbreak on the frontlines.
