I have never been so shocked to read the private mail messages a certain photographer has wrote to a certain model. I will name and shame this photographer and the fact that he names himself as a professional is a disgrace. If you are classing yourself as a professional photographer you need to do more than take a nice photograph. Manners and respect towards clients is the biggest thing in my opinion. I’m a fan of this mans work but I have lost all respect for him as a person after reading these messages. First off, if you are planning a shoot in a studio you don’t cough up money for it without a few models to shoot in it on hand. You gather your props and models first then you book a studio not in the opposite order. But look I’m not telling anyone how to do their job. Then when a model cancels on you, you have no right to say they are wasting your time and money. Like I said, models first studio second. Also telling a model to Cop on when a 24 hour notice was given, that’s not the attitude of a Professional photographer. Then by ending a conversation with Good luck with your modelling career is a joke in itself. And the biggest thing that shocked me was reading a post aimed towards the model was in all honestly something a 14 year old would do. “Due to a lousy last minute cancellation”, what sort of thing is that to post on a group page for everyone to see? Can you not bit your lip and not spit your pacifier out of the pram? Again how this man falls under the word Professional is beyond me. Much respect towards Oisin Vink for his amazing work but honestly Oisin, telling models to cop on Good luck with your modelling Career when the model was going out of their way, free of charge I might add, do you really deserve the professional status? Especially when the cancellation was to attend college, I dont think so. I dont normally rant about stuff like this on facebook or to the public, simply to avoid an argument over something so stupid and childish but look, I had to say it. I’m sure you’ll want to eat my head off Oisin if you see this but don’t bother because I won’t feed your childish behaviour after this status. Rant over. Much love
