Energy Saving For All Are you wasting money by using too much fuel? Humber & Wolds Rural Community Council, is running a series of informative discussions in off gas villages in the Wolds. The concept is to provide residents of these villages with help to use less fuel, by showing them simple methods to reduce their energy consumption. The next event will take place at The Community Centre, Wold Newton on Thursday 24th October from 7pm until 8.30pm. with Tea/Coffee and some lie bites to entice people out of their homes. The event will include: Tools to conduct a simple Home Energy Audit Top Ten Tips for saving energy and money How to stay Warm in Winter Renewable Energy Technologies – no selling, just plain open information Smart Meters – what they are and how they work The Green Deal – an explanation of how it works and how it can make your home more energy efficient Please come along, it will cost you nothing, will save you money and you will be better informed for future decisions about Fuel and Energy in the future. The event is being run in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and is funded by Scottish Power, Energy Peoples Trust, a charitable body that funds project that help to tackle Fuel Poverty. The last event in the area this year, will take place at Bainton Village Hall on Thursday 14th November 2013, also starting at 7pm to 8.30pm.
