Engaged in a bit of culinary adventurism last night - with fabulous results! Added sliced fennel bulbs and quartered sweet onions to a skillet with olive oil and butter to coat - sauteed for about an hour until translucent and caramelized - topped with the zest and juice of a lemon and grated Parmesan. Served a main dish of penne pasta in a vodka cream sauce with Italian sausage. Dinner was a hit!
