Enjoyable day. Drove to Mt. Vernon for a seminar for church and on the way back stopped at the Tin Shed and salivated over all the pretty primitive things. My voice is still a little "froggy "but it is clearing up praise God! One thing about a long drive by oneself is that it is a great opportunity to listen to Christian music, think, dream and pray. Also to enjoy the Fall scenery. The crops are maturing and farmers are out and about, not quite in full swing but definitely stirring. Reminds me of the passage in Matthew 9:37 where Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. " As a pastor, I want to get the workers ready so when they are called out they will respond quickly and joyfully. I serve two wonderful congregations! Both have folks blessed by the Lord with gifts and talents for ministry. So glad I am taking the faith journey with them!
