Enrollment based on family lineage rather than blood quantum was a big issue a few months back and I was unsure of my stance on it, but now after asking around about other peoples opinions and gathering my own information on it I was able to form my own opinion, I hope the tribe does do away with blood quantum as a requirement for enrollment and other tribal affiliations, there are so many people who are excluded because of a parent from another tribe or race that live in a spiritual way and speak the language but are being denied tribal affiliation because of a governmental requirement to be termed Chippewa, if we constantly exclude and discriminate against our own we will definitely breed ourselves out. Its like Meeklo said Its not in your blood, its in the way you think and the way you live lol but seriously Im all for getting rid of the blood quantum requirement.
