Ephesians 2:1-10 And you hath he quickened, that were dead in trespasses and sins, Wherein, in times past ye walked, according to the course of this world, and after the prince that ruleth in the air, even the spirit, that now worketh in the children of disobedience, Among whom we also had our conversation in time past in the lusts of your flesh, in fulfilling the will of the flesh, and mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, as well as others. But God which is rich in mercy, through his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead by sins, hath quickened us together in Christ, by whose grace ye are saved, And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, That he might shew in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace through his kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast himself. For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has ordained, that we should walk in them. Regeneration - Born again, a new creation (Matt 19:28, Titus 3:5) Regenerate - 1. To effect a complete moral reform in 2. To recreate, reconstitute, or make over, esp in a better form or condition John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man recieveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him: norther can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. John 8: 43-44 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. All of this says to me that those of us who were drawn (John 6:44) by the Spirit of God once walked talked and acted in the ways of this world and we indulged in the things according to satan and his evil desires "the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience" (Eph 2:2) fullfilling or doing the things that the flesh wanted and or desired. But God even in our sin loved us. And made us alive together with Christ Jesus (for by grace are ye saved - Eph 2:8) so no man in himself can boast. We are the worskmanship of God created in Christ Jesus. Should we walk in them? Yes! (Eph 2:10) But we must be born again through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. (Titus 3:5) Because the natural/carnal man cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3) nor can he know or receive for to him they are foolishness and are only spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14) also he can neither hear because he cannot hear the Word ..... the Word of Truth (John 8:43) which is life. Be Blessed
