Ephesians 5:1-10 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. As we look at this passage of scripture tonight, have you ever stopped to think about how much our lives would change if we would ever learn to really follow God? David says in Psalms 119:105 that, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. James tells us in James 1:22-25, But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. In Romans 12:1-2 Paul says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Dear friends, God has a plan and a purpose for our lives, He wants to use us for His purpose, He wants us to be a part of His work, but we have to learn to follow Him and His ways!!!!!!!!!! Jesus tells us that He is the good shepherd and we see the sheep, and that the sheep know His voice and they hear Him, and they follow Him. The bible tells us that we will reap what we sow, if we sow to the flesh, we will of the flesh reap corruption, but it we so to the Spirit, we will reap of the Spirit life everlasting!!!!!!!!! We need to learn to follow Him!!!!!!!!!!! Look at what He did through the lives of the apostles and the disciples. He will do those same things through us as well, if we learn to follow Him the ways they did. Dear friends we just need to learn to put ourselves aside, put us out of the way and let God take over. I assure you, when we ever learn to truly submit our lives to Him, it will change our lives!!!!!!!!! Remember Paul says that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new. I dont know about you, but I want to find that freedom that Jesus promised us, I want to be used of God to reach a lost and dying world. I want to learn to Let Go and Let God, to truly submit my life to Him and to seek His face and to follow Him!!!!!!!!! That is my desire. What is yours? Think about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
