Epicenter was almost exactly under our house. Were blessed with minimal damage - broken treasures and some significant new cracks in the walls. Its funny what things fell and what stayed put. So far only one kitty has surfaced. They are the safest ones under the couch. Aftershocks seem to have settled down. This was no rolling quake here! It was a couple of huge jolts with shaking in between. Will be glad when its all over. Good reminder we have more work to do around here to be prepared for the inevitable big one.
