Episode Recap – 9/8/14 (contains spoilers from todays show) At Eric’s house, Liam asks Ivy if he was too forward. He says he wanted to thank her for tonight. Hope and Wyatt drink champagne and Wyatt brings up Liam and says he’ll be okay. Hope says she’s not thinking about that and Wyatt says he’s a mind reader and Ivy and Liam are swimming up in Hope’s mind. Hope makes a crack about them swimming in the Seine. Wyatt brings up if Ivy wasnt in Paris and Hope tells Wyatt she has no regrets. Wyatt says that Ivy fell and the course of Hope’s life changed and it has to be affecting her. Wyatt tells Hope she doesn’t have to hid it with him. Quinn tells Bill that he’s not telling anyone and Bill argues about it. Quinn laughs and says that Hope turned to their son, her husband and it’s funny how things have a way of working out. Bill asks Quinn how much time she’s spent in a straight jacket because she’s completely insane. Quinn tells him to stop calling her that and that Hope and Wyatt are married. Bill says it won’t last when Hope finds out and he’s going to tell them all. Quinn says he’s not going to say anything. Bill says normally he wouldn’t but, Liam is miserable. Quinn says he’s playing favorites. Bill says he’s telling and what they do with it is up to them. Quinn says he’s jealous because she did what he tried to do for years – break up Hope and Liam. Bill says he broke them up plenty of times and he’s not proud of it. Quinn says because they don’t belong together and Bill says – he was an interfering father who couldn’t keep his trap shut and let his son live his own life. Quinn says – that’s exactly what I’m asking you to do – keep your trap shut. Hope admits that when Ivy feel her life changed, now she’s interested in Liam and that makes everything a little strange. Wyatt says whatever happened – Liam didn’t make it to you in time and you shouldn’t go back and wonder about it. He jokes then about Hope ending up with the most awesome husband in the whole world. Hope agrees that she did and says Wyatt is awesome, smart and so good for her. They kiss. Liam tells Ivy he appreciates that she threw the dinner party and he had a good time. Ivy says that’s all she wanted. She says she wanted him to forget his troubles for a little bit. She says she didn’t have any ulterior motives or anything. Hope tells Wyatt that whoever Liam spends his time with – she doesn’t need to get involved. She says she has to take a leap of faith and trust that it all will work out for him – like it did for them. Hope remembers back to their “leap of faith.” She says it was the best jump of her life. Wyatt says they should do it again and Hope says – we’ll do the cannonball. They kiss again. Ivy says she was worried that things weren’t going so well. Liam says he tried so hard not to be a killjoy and it was such a nice thing and all he did was… He says maybe it was too soon for him. Ivy says she wants to help him realize there is life after Hope. Liam says – he appreciates that and he appreciates her. Quinn tells Bill not to get involved – the kids need to live their own lives. Bill says he’s not pushing people into rivers. Quinn brings up the gondola and getting Deacon out of prison. Quinn says he should be thanking her. They talk more and Bill says – it doesn’t justify what you did. Quinn tries to explain herself and says that Hope got the out that she needed and that Liam will find a woman that’s not his brother’s wife. She says – Wyatt is happy and in time Liam will be happy. Be a good dad and stop interfering. Ivy tells Liam that she’s there for him and she’ll listen and she jokes about throwing boomerangs around. Liam says that Ivy made him laugh. Liam gets a notice on his phone and says that Hope and him adopted a cat and they’re kind of sharing him and he’s supposed to drop him off tonight. Ivy jokes about it and tells him it’s adorable and she doesn’t want him getting in trouble with the feline corp. Liam says he’s dreading it – going to the house where Hope and Wyatt live as man and wife. Ivy says to call her in the morning and let her know every horrific detail. Liam says – he will call her. Bill tells Quinn that Hope didn’t make this decision – that Quinn made it for her. Quinn says that sometimes people need a little help – a push. Quinn says that’s what we do – people like us. We take action. Bill tells Quinn to stop believing that they are alike. Quinn says – they are, more than he’d care to admit. She asks Bill if he knows why he’s not married to Brooke right now. She tells him it’s because he’s a leader – a man – you do what needs to be done. She says that’s what we do – we get the job done. People like Brooke are intimidated by us because we make moves that appear to be aggressive and they back off. They sit back and wait for life to happen and are oh so surprised when it does but, not you – not me. We know what we want and we go after it. Now, I want Wyatt to be with Hope and deep down – you do too. Aly comes back and brings ice cream back for her. She says she just saw Liam drive away and she thought he left much earlier. Ivy tells Aly the party was a success after all. Hope thanks Wyatt for listening and understanding. Wyatt jokes he has a husband handbook. Hope tells him to keep reading – that it’s working. They kiss and Wyatt invites Hope into the shower with him. They joke and then Hope tells him she’ll be right there. Wyatt leaves and there’s a knock on the door. It’s Liam with Bu. Bill tells Quinn to never interfere with Liam’s life again. Quinn says she has what she wants and she has no need to think of him again. Bill tells her to leave Wyatt alone as well. Quinn asks if this means (she gestures to her lips and makes the zip motion.) Bill says – it means he can’t stand her and I would like nothing more than to see the three of them tear you apart. He says – the fact is Liam and Hope never worked and there’s no use pretending otherwise – so your secret is safe and so are Wyatt and Hope. Aly questions Ivy about the kiss and Ivy says – it was different and felt real. Aly says this is huge – your first real kiss, yeah it’s huge. Ivy says – she just wants Liam to be happy. Aly tells her – she would say he’s well on his way. Hope apologizes and says she forgot he was dropping Bu off tonight. She takes the cat and greets him. Hope says she’d invite him in and Liam says – no, I don’t want to intrude – I probably should have texted you. Liam brings up taking her advice about a cat toy and she was right about it. Liam asks if this is weird and it’s like their parents, sharing this animal. Hope says she doesn’t think it’s weird – they both care about him. Liam says – yeah. He tells her – all the memories they have are etched in his mind and it’s not like someone can take them away from him… he says I don’t know what I’m saying – I know Wyatt doesn’t want the cat and it would probably be more practical if I took Bu full-time. Hope says – no, no, I don’t want that. Liam says – Really? Okay. He asks Hope if she can promise him something. Hope says – yes. He says – that Bu is ours – no matter what. We share him. We raise him. Hope says – yeah, I promise. Liam says – okay. He sighs and says there’s this part of my brain that keeps wanting to tell me it’s not over and then I come here and it’s all very real and I don’t know… I should go. Bye.. Thanks. He leaves and Hope watches him in tears.
