Brungardt, Bishop of Dodge City, issues the following announcements: Father Ultan Murphy, previously parochial administrator of St. Ann in Olmitz, was granted retirement effective Jan. 3, 2014. Father Pascal Klein completed his six-month personal leave and beginning Jan. 3, 2014, became available as a regular substitute. Father Joseph Buising, previously parochial vicar at St. Mary in Garden City will return to his home diocese of Sorsogon in the Philippines on Jan. 13, 2014. Beginning Feb. 4, 2014, chaplain services to the Dominican Mother House in Great Bend will be provided by the priests assigned to Prince of Peace Parish in Great Bend. The Most Rev. John B. Brungardt, Bishop of Dodge City, announces the following clergy changes: Effective Jan. 3, 2014 Father Anselm Eke, MSP, while continuing as pastor of St. John the Evangelist in Hoisington, is appointed pastor of St. Ann in Olmitz. Effective Feb. 4, 2014 Father Wesley Schawe, while continuing as the Director for the Office of Priestly Vocations, is appointed pastor of Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City. Father Ted Skalsky, currently pastor of Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City, is appointed pastor of St. John the Baptist in Meade, St. Anthony in Fowler and St. Patrick in Plains. Father Skalsky is also assigned Moderator of Marriage, Family Life and Natural Family Planning. Father Louis Trung Dinh Hoang, currently parochial administrator of St. John the Baptist in Meade, St. Anthony in Fowler and St. Patrick in Plains, is appointed parochial vicar at Prince of Peace in Great Bend. Father Rene Labrador, while continuing as Pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Spearville, is assigned assistant vocation director. Father Ted Stoecklein, while continuing as parochial vicar at Prince of Peace in Great Bend, is assigned assistant vocation director. Concerning Holy Family Parish in Odin and in accord with canon 517, §2: Father Donald Bedore, while continuing as pastor of Prince of Peace in Great Bend, is appointed sacramental minister. Father Ted Stoecklein and Father Louis Hoang will also provide sacramental ministry at Holy Family.
