We were out inspecting the relaying of the major and minor roads in Mumbai. This is in continuance to our promise of ensuring good roads with newer technologies. During the Monsoons, we toured, along with Uddhav saheb, inspecting the pothole filling on some roads. Now, the re-laying of roads will ensure better roads for a longer time. Mumbai has around 1900 km of roads, of which 1300 km are under BMC. 568 km are concrete, now more are being made concrete. There isnt any magic wand for an overnight change, but I can assure you that we are here to live up to our word of good roads, and we will not falter or fail. The highways, flyovers, roads under metro/skywalks/ flyovers are under different agencies like PWD, MMRDA etc, not the BMC. Most of the BMC work has begun, some are in final process of the tender system or traffic NOC. Will be touring again to ensure good work happens. Lets talk Development, not politics!
