Eric writes I am 27 years old and I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend for 5 years now. By the grace of God we have a beautiful son who has even started schooling. My problem is that, anytime I save towards our marriage preparations I don’t know what happens and the money vanishes without me knowing what I used it for. So as a concerned boyfriend, I consulted a man of God who told me emphatically that my girlfriend’s family doesn’t want their children to be married and until I move her from their family house, there is no way we can get married. All my efforts to let her move from their family house have proven futile with her being the center of the whole obstruction. I also asked her to go for the list for our engagement but she has also refused, saying I should go for the list myself but my parents are also saying that it is the duty of my girlfriend to go for the list from her family not me. I am very confused because I do not know why she has refused to go for the list when she was present when the pastor advised us accordingly. I love her very much and want to have a family with her and take of our son together but she is making things very difficult. What do I do? Should I allow her to go her way or go for the list myself? Help me!!!
