Erica called for from the Homes For Life Foundation. her number is 1-310-337-7417 extension 36. I got the message earlier today and just played it back a few times to be extra sure I got the return contact information correct before erasing the message. this is a type of apartment living situation that I qualify for. I tried to sign on as one of their perspective clients well over a year ago now. I was more gung ho and into the whole idea back then. I wanted to get a place for my girl bud and I. but now its back to just me again. Im also not wanting to leave my mobilehome now. all I can do is wait a day or so until after the holiday today for sure and try giving her a call back and ask what its all about or like. I tried about one or two other similar living situation type programs and didnt qualify based on their guide lines of being medicated. yes I can take medications for my condition or conditions (but have been trying for well over 4 years to live without the medications). I still consider myself disabled (just not medicated). I wasnt happy on the medication and had started to get a little bit of the shakes. getting off of all the medications was a personal choice and my therapist at that time and that mental health clinic didnt recommend that I do it. so I went out and did it anyway. I dont really share this side of my life. but it is also no different to me then my clean and sober life. so Im willing to share both. this is good news about a possible other living situation. but now that Im back to being alone again Im not so quick to leap. it is without a shadow of a doubt though a chance of a lifetime. the one or two a year or more ago didnt allow for a live-in girlfriend. I wasnt going to have that. I may be a lifetime single person. but I dont want anyone or group or organization to tell me that their guidelines dont allow for that. one of those two places has a guy/girl couple (and theyre living in separate single apartments *but in the exact same apartment complex*).. Im sorry but what? again not all of these apartments are like that. so those were the ones I was trying to wait for an opening in. some also only have street parking. this is all a very huge step or decision. again I think calling Erica back to do some more checking is more then alright. :)
