Eskom is constructing two new transmission lines between Brits and Northam. The transmission lines are crucial to integrate Medupi Power Station into the national grid. As a result, there will be a planned power cut in Letlhabile, Veekraal and surrounding areas, where Madibeng Local Municipality and Eskom distribute electricity. The outage will take place on the 20 and possibly, 21 October if necessary, from 7:00 – 17:00 daily while the lines are being constructed. Eskom apologises for the inconvenience.
