Essentially, at the end of the last Congressional session, Boehners leadership led to the full funding of Obamacare without addressing legitimate concerns and it funded amnesty for illegal aliens until Feb 27th, taking away the Republican leverage to block Obamas amnesty. The immigration issue could have been fought by passing month to month continuing resolutions and demanding concessions at every juncture in order to keep the govt funded; but now, by passing Cromnibus and funding the Dept of Homeland Security through February, Boehner and the House allowed Obama to build the administrative structure needed to issue his deferred prosecution orders and work permits for the parents of the DREAMers. Just as Rep Jim Bridenstine (R-Ok) said, The CR/ omnibus legislation sufficiently undermines the checks and balances enshrined in the Constitution that it warrants my pending vote against the Speaker. John Boehner went too far when he teamed with Obama to advance this legislation. He relinquished the power of the purse and with it he lost my vote. We need leaders who understand the basis for true conservativism and what it means to uphold the oath they took to the Constitution. And time and again, John Boehner has violated his oath and blocked the efforts of others to take strong positive actions that would have better than expected results, if only one gathered to strength to do the right thing. As Rep Thomas Massie (R-KY) prepared to vote against Boehner, he stated, Critics may call my vote unwise ... but I challenge them instead to defend the undemocratic manner in which the Speaker has moved legislation through the House of Representatives. This last election was about making the changes the country ___ the American People ___ demand, something Boehner has failed to do time and again. Every single Republican in the House should have voted against this man, but they were too busy running to their cushy assignments or chairman slots and running scared of this simpering Fools possible retaliation. Every single Republican who voted for Boehner betrayed the U.S. Constitution and the American People in so doing. And that includes Trey Gowdy, Marsha Blackburn, and Diane Black.
