Established by Christine Wilson in 2004, this Japanese craft of hand papermaking gave a fresh look, to making paper in Saint Lucia. At Studio Kreativity Inc. we make handmade papers from cotton rag, agricultural waste material, combined with commercial and household waste fiber. Papers are made in dozens of sizes from 2" x 3" cards for invitations, up to 34 x 48" art papers. Thickness ranges from text to board weight. For beautiful, rough, surface texture, the sheets are naturally air dried on drying boards. We offer paper of a variety of texture and colour; namely smooth, or rough surface. Coloured papers are tinted with light fast pigments. All Studio Kreativity Inc. papers are suitable for all types of pen and ink. Only handmade papers have four truly natural deckled edges. To inquire about either stocked or custom papers, contact our Operations Manager Thasha Wilson at the following email bananapaperproducts@gmail. Handmade paper, as opposed to machine made paper, has a rough surface created in the drying loft as the damp sheet dries in the breeze. This allows the sheet to shrink naturally and develop a rough or “pebbled” surface as well as being slightly cockled or wavy. Because of the shrinking, a sheet might actually be about ½" shorter than their standard size.
