Ethical question. You have a automobile accident that is the other drivers fault. The other guys insurance company is paying for all the repairs. They have their preferred auto body shops. I took the car to their shop and to one that is not preferred for estimates. The preferred shop will just bill the insurance company direct. They said I go to any shop but if it was more than the preferred shop I would have to pay the difference. The preferred shop was over $1,000 more. There were several add ons that really are not needed. I have used the other shop before and was satisfied with them. Question. Do I go back to the insurance company and tell them they can save $1,000 by going to other shop?
