Euro Champion Clubs Cup is this weekend, by Alfons Juck, EME News LAUSANNE (SUI): This Saturday will be devoted to the European Champion Clubs Cup for Juniors in Europe. The A group will be staged in Brno, Czech Republic and B group in Leiria, Portugal. On both places together 17 girls and 14 boys teams will compete. In Brno winners of three previous editions will fight for top honours. On the boys side Spanish Playas de Castellon (winners 2010 and 2011) and British Shaftesbury Harriers (2012). Also to note Fenerbahce Istanbul of Turkey. They won the girls 2012 and also in this category will be the favorites, along with 2010 winners home side Olymp Brno and 2012 winners Atletica Studentesca of Italy. Here the Spanish Playas de Castellon should be also counted among the favorites. Teams in Leiria will compete for promotion. Here in the boys category Italian Atletica Studentesca is one of the favorites with two Portugal squads. In the girls competition Novi Beograd of Serbia will aim to return to the highest class after being relegated in 2012.
