Euro Trip Hangover 2014 By: RM Its been a week now since my long Vacation in Europe with my travel buddies Rachelle Alexis Lim Rachelle Cheng Mary Pasatiempo Gilbert Hizon I still cant get over and so Im writing and sharing the highlights of my Euro Trip. Being a holder of Philippine Passport is not an easy way to travel the World. Visa for this and Visa for that, the process to get a visa is exasperating. Therefore, a very well planned and full packed itinerary must be considered to maximise your tour. Besides, you need to get your plane tickets, bus and train rides in super advance to get a better deal. Special Thanks to Cheng for helping us with that. Borrowing the famous line from Forrest Gump, Europe is like a Box of Chocolates. Each Countries or Cities have something Special to offer; Each to their own. It is safe to say that I tasted Europe though I havent chewed and savoured it properly. Now let me tell you how it taste like to be in Europe. 1. Paris, France At the top of Arc de Triomphe is a breathtaking birds eye view of the City. And From there you can see the Eiffel Tower that shines so bright like a diamond at night. Im glad that I checked out the gay party scene in Marsais Area and met New Friends Carl Champain Siobhan Stanley 2. Lucerne, Switzerland If you are thinking of Retirement Lucernes Serene beauty is for you. Relax and dine alongside Reuss River with the scenic view of Kapellbrücke Wooden Chapel Bridge and Water Tower. 3. Zurich, Switzerland Though I had short and sweet stay in Zurich, I know that this City has a lot to offer. Ill discover this lovely City more next time. 4. Munich, Germany Beer, Beer and drink lots of beer in Oktoberfest with pool of young, heart pumping, hot and good looking German Guys. Got the picture???? ;) I am definitely coming back. Frost!!! Thanks for partying with us Jonas Achter 5. Fussen Bavaria, Germany As I enter the Nueswanchtein Castle where the Disney Paris Castle got the inspiration, I imagine myself living like a King. Inside, theres a Room for Reading and a Room for Writing; hows that? If I will be King Ludwig II, who will be my Richard Wagner? (happy to know that he is gay, assuming that he is) 6. Salzburg, Austria You will definitely catch yourself singing The Hills are alive with the Sound of Music... Frauline Marias Bicycle Tour is the best way to discover the city. It is a lovely experience when the cars literally STOP to let me Cross the Street. #FeelsLikeAGurl 7. Vienna, Austria Time is Gold and every second counts in this Efficient and Clean City of Vienna. Empress Sissis Schönbrunn Palace is amazingly beautiful and well maintained. Special thanks to my very dear Friend René Oberortner for making our trip extra special. Regards to Marco ;) 8. Prague, Czech Republic Thanks to Hitler for not Bombing the city. It feels like you are walking in the Museum. Everything in the Old Town is an Architectural Masterpiece. The Food is great and relatively cheap outside the touristy area. 9. Berlin, Germany The Gay Friendly City of Berlin is where I see myself living in. Berlins Dark History is now covered with Colours of Equality and Freedom. Lady Gagas Art Pop Ball Concert added sparkle to my Berlin Experience. It was a pleasure to meet you Jinkee Banzon 10. Venice, Italy While in St. Marks Square the Musicians played a classic Disney song. Truly! Im in A Whole New World in this picturesque city of Venice. I rode a Water Bus in Grand Canal. I danced and partied with Venetian Peeps around Sta. Margarita. And met lovely couple from Germany Meinolf Holzwarth 9. Florence, Italy Firenze is the art capital of Italy. There, I was mesmerised with humongous David of Michelangelo in Academia and gorgeous Birth of Venus by Botticelli at Uffizi Gallery. And Of Course you cant leave Florence without a piece of an Italian Leather. So I bought a Black Leather Jacket and 2 pairs of Shoes for the Win! 10. Chianti and San Gimignano Tuscany I celebrated my 33rd Birthday with Wine Tasting in Chianti. I attended Wine Drinking Lesson and got drunk with #DOCG #ExpensiveLocalRedWine. And of course I tasted Gelato of the World Gelato Champion in San Gimignano. Best Birthday Ever!!!! ;) Thanks Rach for celebrating it with me. 11. Rome, Italy You cant go to Rome without seeing Colosseo. Take a look back inside the amphitheater where Roman Gladiators shed their blood in the battle. I was teary eyed when I entered the majestic Pantheon, the biggest Brick Dome. It is a Must See!!! Staying in Campo de Fiori is wise decision because it is walking distance from tratstevere. (Lan Kwai Fongish) It was very nice to meet you there Valentin Schäfer Hope to see you soon.Cheers 12. Vatican City The highlight of my entire Europe Trip is seeing Pope Francis. Im in Awe on how he touched my soul by his presence. It felt like Ive seen God through him. Michelagelos ceiling of Sistine Chapel is a Masterpiece but you cant take a picture.
