European Space Agency (ESA) - Rosetta Space Probe mission. (Rosetta is a robotic space probe built to perform a detailed study of comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko.) It was a historic landing on a comet, but unfortunately, not a smooth one. ESA confirmed that Rosettas lander bounced twice and ultimately ended up sideways in the shadow of a cliff, where its solar panels cant gather enough energy. When Philaes battery dies, the mission will die with it.For now, its race to gather as much scientific data as possible before the batterys initial charge of 64 hours runs out.
