European tour update! It was a busy travel, sight see, and concert day for our choristers! Early this morning, they bid Leipzig abschied and boarded their bus for Dresden and Chemnitz. With its quaint squares and restored buildings, the central city of Dresden, home of Meissen Porcelain, had an old world feel to it. On their walking tour, our choristers explored the city’s opera house and sang a brief, impromptu concert in the Frauenkirche. At Chemnitz, their outdoor concert was shifted to the indoors due to rain and the Germany/Brazil soccer game, scheduled to fall shortly after the concert. Following their performance for a small, but enthusiastic audience, the choristers went outside to watch the first half of the soccer game on a huge screen. Despite the rain, it was exciting to be a part the game with their German hosts. Tomorrow, it’s off to Berlin! Be sure to check out the new photos in the Concert Choir European Tour 2014 album.
