Evangelion & Resident Evils Universal Studios Attractions Previewed in Videos The Mainichi Shimbun papers MaiDiGi service previewed Universal Studios Japans Evangelion and Resident Evil attractions that just opened this weekend. Video:https://youtube/watch?v=wFRvJz9ZrlY The Evangelion the Real 4D collaboration is the first “4D” project for the Evangelion anime franchise. The attraction runs in the Universal Studio Cinema 4D theater, which has seats that move back and forth and from side to side. It also has wind, water (mist), scents, smoke, and other effects for an immersive 4D experience. The video also showcases the goods on sale at the accompanying shop. Visitors can undergo a whole-body 3D scan to make a custom 3D figure. The prices range from 28,080 yen (about US$240) for a 15-centimeter (6-inch) figure to over 72,000 yen (US$610) for a 35-centimeter (14-inch) figure with glasses and other accessories. The attraction has a new original story that cannot be seen outside of the event. In the story, the park visitors become civilians who seek refuge in an underground shelter in Tokyo-3. Thanks to an emergency communique from Nerv headquarters, a large helicopter extracts the visitors — right before an Angel attack. EVA-01 launches, and the visitors are caught in the battle where survival is uncertain. (The video above shows Misato Katsuragis briefing about the operation at the beginning.) The story has 3D footage of mecha fights. Hikaru Utada is once again contributing her song Beautiful World for the attractions ending theme song. Universal Studios Japan is serving an Angel curry bun with an A.T. Field wave to break through, as well as a Core dessert in an Angel case (Destroy the core!) and an Angel Extermination Drink pierced with a Spear of Longinus. Universal Studios Japan also sells Interface headsets in the form of hair clips to synchronize with EVA units. In the immersive Biohazard The Escape (Resident Evil The Escape) attraction, visitors must try to flee a zombie invasion in a four-floor Raccoon City television station in less than 60 minutes. He himself went through all of the attractions that day.
