~~ Evangelist Philip Abraham: Knee Replacement Surgery ~~~ Evangelist Philip Abraham is likely to have a knee-replacement surgery in the second half of May. He had been suffering from incessant pains in both knees, so much so that he was unable even to stand up for prayers. As a result doctors ordered an immediate replacement of both his knee-joints. The first replacement took place two years ago, relieving much pain but now pain in the other knee has become unbearable. He is considerably active even at the age of 84, and he frequently travels/drives within a radius of 20 to 40 kilometers from his residence for ministry. He is very much in demand as an elder preacher and statesman. He was one of the pioneers among assembly evangelists, and he left South India in 1957 to go to North India (equivalent to going to another country, because of the difference in language and culture). He is now back in South India after 40 years of ministry North, and continues to be active in the assemblies. Since the incessant pain often becomes unbearable, he is likely to have his surgery at Specialist Hospital in Kochi in the second half of May. Kindly do pray for him.
