Even in the anti-corruption campaign no systemic innovations have been done. The poor have not been motivated to actively participate in economic activities that will lift them up from poverty. Many among the poor maintain their feudal subservience to their economic and political lords. And this is being exploited by the old and new politicians for their own interests. It is advantageous to them that the people remain poor.
