Even though it a great time to go fishing inshore non-bite areas - TopicsExpress

Even though it a great time to go fishing inshore non-bite areas still do exist! An incoming tide suggestion! Please don’t get discouraged! Catches for some fishermen have been very good while others are still struggling. The reason being is fish have not gotten exactly where they are going to be. So therefore the spot you fish today, which seemly has no fish could possibly be full of bite activity tomorrow. The secret to catching fish during this fall cooling down period is to set up a time limit for each spot fished. I like the 15 minute approach and it goes like this: Once anchored, if you don’t get a hit or catch a fish in 15 minutes I suggest making a move. Now, if you know that the fish are going to show up and some of us do have this ability to call the ball, and then add another 15 minutes. Now while you are fishing a spot I suggest not just working the area between you and the bank/structure. I suggest fishing all points around your boat. When the tide is flooding fish are staging off the bank in deeper water. As soon as they feel comfortable with water depth nearest the bank/structure and feel safe from the predators they will start advancing to the shallows.
