Even though work was suspended on Tuesday, this was a very productive week. With that being said, Marks Lawn Maintenance, LLC. is taking the weekend off! But dont be too concerned next week will be one of the busiest of the year so far. The goal here is to complete all of the spring cleanups by the 26th of March, and then turn our attention to aerations and the first round of pre-emergence/fertilizations! In a month, the water in the canals will be and to all of the customers. The clients using domestic/house water will probably want to start up the sprinklers by the start of April. We here at Marks Lawn Maintenance can do that as well. When starting up; your sprinkler systems, be sure it leave one zone or spicket open so not to create water slamming! If one doesnt you can rupture and underline line or pop off sprinler heads! Alss, this is a great time to set your timing clocks and adjust your sprinkler heads. Be sure at the start of the season not to water too much, but as the season progress, around late May, add time to each some depending on the how much time exposure your lawn receives. Sprinkler adjustment will prevent drying areas in your yard. This time is a great time to see if all sprinkler heads are spraying the correct direction. By placing a piece of anytype paper on the lawn, where the sprinkler sprays overlap in coverage the paper should be wet. If not, it maybe a simple fix as using a longer type of spray nozzle. Instead of an eight foot spray nozzle try using a ten foot one. It takes just minutes. If you have ascillating type sprinklers, adjust the difuser screw on the side of the head, for a longer spray. These fast and simple fixes can save on aggrevation, and solve problems with little or no cost at all. Have fun in your yards this weekend!
