Evening Army... It is #SMAawareness month and Prayers for Connor has been making a post a day to bring more attention to Connors disease. For todays #TBT: Best of Wheels for Connor I wanted to share with your their post from today. Connor has suffered from respiratory issues his whole life due to the SMA and has always needed oxygen. The Smiths tried to keep Connor tracheotomy free for as long as they could, but during his health crisis a year ago, the team at The University of Michigan felt it was finally necessary. A year later they do not regret their decision and know Connor is in a much better place medically because of his trach. We are currently at $7,390 towards our goal of $17,500 for Connor. I wonder if the RTGA and the Night Owls are up to reach $8000 by morning.... that is only 122 $5 donations! I bet we can do this no problem! Today Connors parents went and spoke with the owners of the van they had seen for sale in their town. The owners took the for sale signs off and are holding the van until we finish our fundraiser! The family is selling the van to help with the burial costs of their son who recently passed and Connors parents are grateful to be able to help lift some of that financial burden. His mother wrote today... Thank you to everyone helping us help us Connor! Its going to be incredible to have a vehicle he can safely ride in with his whole family!!
