Evening Reminder. Does seeking cure for our illnesses negate the patience Allah required of us?. There is no doubt that the Muslim is commanded with patience upon what he or she dislikes from the tribulations and illnesses. Along with patience we can utilize the beneficial means by Allah’s permission. Therefore if you have an illness you can seeks to cure it along with having patience and seeking the reward, while not panicking. And the permissible means do not negate patience but you must rely only on halaal means. The patience during this condition means refraining the tongue from complaining, and refraining the soul from panicking, and refraining the hand from slapping the cheeks and tearing the garments etc as some does using wrong words like why me, what have I done to Allah etc, these kind of words and phrases distance us from the mercies of Allah. May Allah ease our test and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.
