Evening all, There appears to be a bit of confusion between the "Spring into Spring" festival and the "Dragon Country Markets". The ‘Spring into Spring Festival’ is an initiative of the Balonne Shire Council and its aim is to assist residents of the Shire to de clutter the house and shed and prepare the household for the warmer months ahead. It comprises of two components: Friday 27th September is the official launch of the ‘Beautiful Balonne’ promotions clips, ‘Down at the River’ music clip, followed by a family movie Madagascar 3. The St George Primary School P&C Association is hosting a BBQ dinner from 6.30pm. Saturday 28th September 2013, the Balonne Shire Council is coordinating the second component to the ‘Spring into Spring Festival’ with markets, car boot sale, yoga and tai chi classes, belly and flaminco dancing, BBQ breakie, promotion of Council’s programs and initiatives and interactive gardening workshops just to name a few. Dragon Country Markets are using this opportunity as a launching pad for the start of our monthly markets. In coming weeks I will be holding a meeting to establish a committee, and we will be independent from the council. I have had a very short timeframe in trying to notify stall holders about this event, (ie: 1 week) and creating a facebook page has been the most efficient way of promoting and obtaining numbers of interested stall holders. So please bear with me, as we work our way through this. I endeavor to post information as I receive it.
