Evening all. Well I have to admit this week has taken a toll on me. My Father in Law is holding his own and that is a miracle in itself. They are moving him from ICU to a regular room. There is no reason for it except the grace of God since the Doctors all said that he would be dead by now. Tonight I got that video of my friends dogs. That just tore me up but then again when great dog owners loose their dogs it always does.I am so happy that Samantha will have that family to spend the rest of her life with. She will be blessed beyond belief. The best part of this day was tonight. I took Liberty to Tristians Place to play. We do this every night but tonight we added a ball. She went nuts. She threw it in the air, lost it, and found it again and ran around with it. She played till she just couldnt anymore. I just sat in the grass in the middle of the play yard and watched her just be a dog with no worries. As I sat there I thought of all of the paws that walked this ground and for just a moment they were all there. Samson and his silliness, Tristian and his quiet reserved way, Eli and his puppy ways. For just a breath all of my babies were with me and it was wonderful.Their spirits, their memories, their love. In one motion it was all there and it was beautiful.. Liberty is so amazingly wonderful. She transforms a little more everyday. She makes sure my face is clean via her tongue. Her giant tail shows me how glad she is to just be here. Her eyes show me love. In spite of her past she show nothing but joy and gratitude just to be here. She is gaining weight and eating like crazy. Her bones are no longer prominent. Her ears are clear and stick straight up. Everyday she gets stronger and more healthy. The one thing I have to talk to the vet about is why all of the dogs when they first come here they all eat dirt. yes i know it has minerals but i want to see if we can use vitamins to help them get healthy.
