Evening guys and thanks for the add Michael Helsted. A question - TopicsExpress

Evening guys and thanks for the add Michael Helsted. A question that has burned a hole, and a few million brain cells i may add is ``Is Time Travel Possible?`` According to some, yes, and for many years, even as a child i`ve wondered if it could be possible, i believe it isn`t. I`ll forgo the usual long winded explanations some go for and try and put it into leymans terms. Image the universe is a cup of water, the cup represents the limits of our universe as we understand it, the water is the energy and mass/matter of our universe, a fine balance between the two. If you remove even the smallest droplet of water you are altering the mass/matter & energy from the cup, add a droplet of water and the cup will overflow, Archimedes principle of displacement, surely the same principle can be applied to matter and energy as well as water ? As i understand it, energy and mass are finite, meaning you cannot remove nor add to the energy or the mass/matter of our universe. Now lets say you do happen to build a Time Machine and you travel back in time, your now leaving your own timeline / space time continuum and universe, because now your no longer there and you have entered another much earlier one, basically you are removing your mass/matter & energy (WATER ) from one timeline / universe and transfering it ( WATER ) to another, meaning your now adding mass / energy to that earlier timeline / universe. This earlier universe now not only contains the well balanced quantity of Matter / Mass & Energy, but also yours too, surely your presence there would displace the existing Matter & Energy of that universe, and cause a Paradox in both universes ? Hope i made sense. Your thoughts ?
