Evening racers and fans, I received a reply from Tim Wolken about the time opening the pit area .... Evening Alan – I spoke with Commissioner Lathen and we appreciate that restricting access to the pits until 4 pm may cause logistical concerns with being able to start the races by 6 pm and end by 10 pm. With this in mind, the County supports the drivers being able to access the pits at 3pm on Friday with the understanding that no race car engines may be started until at least 4 pm. We have provided several suggested changes on the flyer below. Thanks – Tim So heres the flyer we will be handing out as you enter into the pit area ..... Welcome to El Paso County Speedway and the “High Plains 305 Nationals”. Due to community concerns with possible disruption to Calhan School Dist. classes, absolutely NO race cars may be started before 4:00 pm. Competitors may unload their cars from their trailers, but will NOT be allowed to start any engines until after 4pm. Thank you for your cooperation, and Good Luck tonight!
