Evening reminder.. Question:IS THE MARY OF QURAN SAME AS MARY OF BIBLE?.. Answer: today: majority of Christians quote surah maryam 18 where Allah says o sister of Aaron to show the Mary of quran is different from that of bible.. What quran means is literally... As the Jews and Arabs are highly poignant and well advanced in literature that Jesus himself useto speak in metaphor... Even in the bible: Jesus was referred to us as son of David:: so iswrong if quran says o Mary sister of Aaron.. As we know Jesus was a descendant of king David and bible calls him son of David.. Same applies in quran.. Mary as we know was from the descendant of priests... Elizabeth married zakariyya who was the priest of Israel and descendant of Aaron... All the family tree of Aaron were priest and quran was referring to Mary as sister of priests as all their descendants were dignified and respected.. So when she came with Jesus: the Jews were shocked and said: o sister of Aaron... Surah 19:27-28... Quran again called Mary: the daughter of imran... According to bible: the father of Moses and Aaron was amran... So Mary was called daughter as she was given the name of moses sister and the Jews use this words.. As it was part of their culture... For eg: when our families are well respected: people use to call by our descendants name.. For e.g.: the prophet s.a.w is called abdallah ibn abdul mutalib ibn............ As Jesus hadno father: the quran use literally names for his parents... Quran is never wrong but because we donot know Jews culture: our Christians want to say Jesus of quran is different... In all: may Allah grants us knowledge to understand the quran... Aameen...
