Ever since I came home from Israel, Ive been hating on America. I feel sorry for doing so, but this is why. To me, Americans are ignorant, materialistic, FOLLOWERS (thats a major one). The way society and past generations have been built is to follow the trends. Log on to Facebook, right hand corner, youll see a whats trending section. Using hashtags to dignify how popular something is. Its usually death, a spreading disease, or a celebrity or an athlete. A leader. Internationally people follow that trend, get caught up in it. Drake says YOLO? Well damn, I must too. Because first we used abbreviation in our technology and now were abbreviating our own human capability of speech. We dont have minds of our own. The widespread of media that is put on our TV screens, computers, and phones are now being broadcasted in our brains. Telling us how to think and believe with articles like 5 ways to improve your relationship or easy life hacks. Or things as far as Israel: a genocide. Question, why do we need to hack our own lives? Israel. Israel, the most honest place. No, really. It is. Have you been there? Most of you protestors havent. Do you even know what you are protesting against? Yet you chose to side. Thats okay! Go ahead, pick a side. But do it from your own facts, education, and even experience One person said screw them, they are the bad people and now you follow the trend. The trend of dishonesty and hatred. Hatred. Were building a mankind towards HATRED. And no one is doing anything! When we see inspirational quotes were looking at people like Ghandi, Bob Marley, Thoreau, Albert Einstein. These are people of the PAST. Where are the people of the present? What will the people of the future look like? That scares me. Where are the people of peace? Theyre gone. The proof? Look to your media. How many times have you seen a video or picture with the caption faith in humanity restored!. Okay. Since when did humanity become so terrible that we have to put so much focus on something that is emphasized as so RARE. It shouldnt be! We should not be blown away by an act of kindness. We should be blown away by an act of terror. How can one do such a thing. Unnatural. Like taking an axe to a HUMAN. Can I just say, the term terrorist is not directed at any race, religion, or political person. The word terrorist strictly means violent acts that are intended to create fear...to deliberately disregard the safety of non-combatants. Ever heard of a violent inhumane act that took the life of an innocent? That person is most likely in jail. Why? Cause theyre a terrorist. The people who commit a school shooting? theyre terrorists who get shot by police too. To let ANY person slide with committing a death or violent act amongst anything living is disturbing. And for there to be people defending them? I mean come on! (Thats a shoutout to you, News) There is no better who killed who in ANY SCENARIO. I will say this again, not everyone in this conflict is at fault. Not everyone is an animal or a monster. On either side. I defend Israel and its right to not be divested, destroyed, or protested against. I am defending the land. The country. Bh my future home. I am defending both sides of the innocent. Not the people who are celebrating the death of our soldiers, rabbis, children, brothers, etc. I am defending the people who live their every day lives no matter what their religious beliefs or ideals are. However, just as there are humane people within every religion, citizenship, culture, race, etc. there are unfortunately people who commit acts of terrorism. We NEED to stop categorizing people by the whole. We dont know you, you dont know us. Leave us the hell alone. And no Im not referring to us as my religion. Im referring to the humankind that is falling so immensely low that I have been calling my mom in tears the past couple of days telling her that I dont want to live in a world that craves and feeds off of terror and hate. So much ignorance it makes it hard to breathe. I shouldnt have to make a status about this. I even feel uncomftorable doing so. But, this isnt the first of its kind. Its all over my newsfeed along with millions of other negative things. We shouldnt have to keep making marches. We shouldnt keep saying if we keep taking these steps maybe humanity will become better and the world will be a better place. Well, maybe if we got rid of all of this media, we woulndt have anything to follow and the widespread of hate would be ridden of. Heres some news for you. The world is already a better place. The world never became worse. Were abusing the land that humans have been lucky enough to have been given life on. And were abusing our own lives. Stop saying what we should do and actually do something, starting with yourselves. We should be PEOPLE. Weve come too far from being animals.
