Ever since I was a kid, I never cared for the question What are you up to?... I always preferred that people asked me how I was doing/feeling as opposed to asking about my recent activities. Im constantly seeking a new adventure, a new project, or a new challenge! :) What matters most is not what Im doing, but how Im feeling about what Im doing. I can remember being a teenager and cringing when certain people would call because I knew the first question they would ask is, Hows school? or What is so-and-so up to these days? Ive always loved school and so I would be making straight As and still be disappointed at the question. I know these are normal questions and most people ask them as a formality and without thinking, but I guess Ive never had a great tolerance for small-talk, and I definitely dont enjoy shallow/awkward conversations with people who presume to know me well. You wanna know whats new with me? The answer is most likely gonna be that everything is. Might be a new city, a new boyfriend, a new hobby, or even a new career! But if you reallllllly wanna know me? Genuinely inquire about how Im feeling about these changes, and I will most certainly pose that same heartfelt query to you. ❤️
