Ever since my book has been published, those that have read and enjoyed the writing of it, have suggested that I get my head down and start to write again... Yesterday I did just that - I started to devise a story of which I have yet to find a satisfactory ending for. Here it is so far - (opinions / ideas / welcome). (ignore the tenses - it is a work in progress) - - - - The story starts in the future where mankind will overpopulate the planet and suffer from various crises because of this uncontrolled fervour of activity. Exorbitant Costs prohibit the relocation of people to the stars so a scientist has discovered a technology to send half the population into a parallel universe. These people occupy the same space as everyone else but are seven seconds out of alignment with rest of the population so are not seen. One character, a particularly greedy, devious and intelligent soul, has discovered how to time travel within the seven second universe. He undertakes to rob a bank in the sixties but because it takes place on the parallel dimension it appears as if no one is there while diamonds and various trinkets disappear. Coincidentally the bank is being robbed in the real world at the same time by an international gang of crooks. They are very baffled as to why there are no jewels in a bank that they have been watching for some considerable time. In one of their other schemes, they kidnap a scientist who thinks he has discovered the answer to their bank dilemma, and invents the very system that will allow mankind to divide into two and live in juxtaposing worlds in the future. - - - -
