Ever wondered what the collection of a truly hardcore Darren Shan - TopicsExpress

Ever wondered what the collection of a truly hardcore Darren Shan fan looks like? Wonder no more!! Those books in the first photo are the personal horde of longtime Shanster David Pearson, and include some proofs and other rare items. Of course, all my fans are equally precious to me, and I never mind if you guys own one of my books, all of them, or none at all if you borrow them from friends or loan them from libraries -- I just love that you spend your time with me. But still... its an impressive sight! Though I must admit, my first thought was, Have I really written than many books?!? I met another hardcore fan called Peter last night, who was able to recount the whereabouts of every copy of the special edition of Hells Heroes that was published some years back, information that I had long since forgotten -- indeed, Id even forgotten that I once knew it! I sometimes say it in jest, but at other times its true -- some of you guys really DO know more about me and my books than I know myself!!!!! Meanwhile, out on the road... I had a great time in Kingston yesterday, for the first event of my first Zom-B Family tour -- and here are a couple of snaps of me in action. Students had come from lots of different schools, along with some members of the public -- over 800 in total!! The signing afterwards was manic, as loads of the kids bought books. I had to break with my normal practice and only sign my name in most of them, as otherwise it would have taken too long and the school groups wouldnt have been able to hang on. I never like doing that, as I always feel like Im shortchanging my fans -- but on the upside, if any of them ever decide to sell the books afterwards, theyre worth more with just a signature and no message!! :-) Today, Tuesday 21st, Im doing a school event in Forest Hill, then signing for the public in Waterstones Bromley from 4.00pm onwards. Everyone is welcome -- just come along and take your place in the line. There are no limits on the number of my books that you can get signed, and Ill be happy to dedicate one for each of you and pose for photos. You can also ask questions while Im signing, and Ill do my best to answer. I gave an interview to a local Bromley paper ahead of my signing there, and you can read it here: newsshopper.co.uk/news/11543347.Interview__Zom_B_author_Darren_Shan_talks_to_Vibe_ahead_of_Bromley_signing/
